How Does Sunekos Work?

Natural ageing results in reduced hyaluronic acid as well as reduced collagen and elastin production. This leads to fine lines, wrinkles and a sagging appearance of the skin.

Sunekos is an injectable bio-regenerator treatment. It is made up of a mix of hyaluronic acid and amino acids. This precise blend stimulates fibrobasts within the extra-cellular matrix of the skin to produce collagen and elastin, helping to reverse the signs of ageing.

Preparing for Sunekos Treatment

Prior to your treatment appointment, we will give you all the information you’ll need to know to prepare. There are a few key things to remember to limit bruising and redness after your treatment.

Avoid drinking any alcohol for at least 24 hours before your injections, and minimise any blood-thinning medications. If you have been prescribed blood-thinning medications, we recommend you continue these.

If you are prone to hayfever symptoms of the eyes, we recommend regular antihistamines before and after Sunekos eye treatment.

Treatment Quickfacts

For Sunekos treatment of the face there may be a short period of mild bruising after treatment which may result in “social downtime”.

Sunekos eye treatment can result in temporary puffiness around the eyes. The effect is variable, temporary and typically settles within a few days of your Sunekos eye treatment.

Numbing: Numbing cream optional.
Swelling: a few hours.
Bruising: variable - hours to a few days.
Social downtime: typically a few hours.

Post treatment care for Sunekos

While initial improvement will be visible within a few weeks, the full effects of treatment can take up to 3-6 months.

Following Sunekos treatment, it is normal to experience some light bruising, visible injection points and swelling. These effects typically subside within a few hours to days depending on the treatment method.

We recommend a follow-up treatments every two weeks for a course of three treatments.

Immediately after Sunekos treatment

Avoid touching or putting pressure on the treated area for at least 6 to 8 hours.
Avoid makeup and products around the area for at least six to eight hours.

Skincare

Use a soap-free cleanser and a non-fragrance moisturiser.
Avoid exfoliation and any strong skincare products around the treated area for at least 3 days. This includes retinol (vitamin A) and vitamin C.
Apply sunscreen with an SPF50 or higher to protect the treated area and avoid prolonged sun exposure for at least two weeks post-treatment.
You may use concealer to minimise the appearance of bruising. Concealer can safely be used following Sunekos eye treatment.

Activities

Please avoid these activities following treatment:

Strenuous exercise, hot showers, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 48 hours.
Alcohol consumption or excessive caffeine for 24 hours to help minimise swelling & bruising.
International travel for four days in case of an adverse event.
Planned dental treatments for one month to minimise infection.
Following Sunekos eye treatment, avoid using contact lenses for 48 hours.
Long durations of pressure on treatment areas for one month (e.g., face-down massages).
