About Numbing Cream

At Anue, we use a high-strength custom numbing cream to help you remain comfortable during your treatment.

Anue numbing cream is not a standard numbing cream. It is stronger and more effective than more commonly available creams such as EMLA cream.

How Does Numbing Cream Work?

We use a combination of lignocaine and tetracaine formulated by a registered compounding pharmacy.

Both lignocaine and tetracaine work by blocking the pain signals in the skin from transmitting to the brain. When used appropriately, this cream is very safe.

Your treatment provider will apply the cream to the treatment area.

The pain relieving effect of numbing cream usually starts within 15 minutes of application. Maximum effect takes about 30-45 minutes. Numbing cream wears off after 2-3 hours.

What Can Numbing Cream be Used For?

Anue numbing cream can be used for any procedure that causes discomfort. At Anue, we most commonly use numbing cream during the following treatments:

Frax laser treatment
Fractional CO2 laser treatment
People that have difficulty tolerating other treatments

Numbing cream is not recommended during pregnancy and while breast-feeding.
